I have a bump on the back of my head, and I have no clue how it got there.
I first noticed it yesterday morning when I was brushing my hair. The brush brushed over it, and it HURT, badly. Dx
But, I guess enough about that. Moving on. Et cetera.
Hmm, what else can I talk about? Well, there's plenty to complain about, but I blame that on my tiredness and lack of working as hard as I could have yesterday. I'mma have to make up for it today, because I'll be busy tomorrow.
I'll have to find a nice corner or something, curl up with some textbooks, and set to work. Maybe bring my laptop too, maybe not. My laptop is distracting, but it's necessary for so much.
Like my first blog post that's due Sunday. I'm going to severely edit the one I typed up yesterday. For starters, I have to find a good lead-in. Then I'll be altering the rest of the post accordingly.
Would you like the link to my homework blog? It'd be nice if you were interested, because I have a minimum number of views I'll be shooting for this semester.
Wow, I have no clue what I'm going to title this post. I'm just basically rambling. I need to find a theme to blog about again, or this rambling about nothing is going to get old fast. o_O

Scientist or Stalker?
Tonight, I'm going to turn into a stalker.
Like, seriously, I'm going to go out into public and watch strangers to see what they do.
If it makes you feel better, it's part of a class assignment. I'm going to be playing the role of a scientist gathering data, observing the customs of humans I don't know.
It sure doesn't make me feel better.
Whatever people I end up watching are bound to notice me staring. In which case, I'll explain myself. But that still doesn't make things easier. If they consent to me continuing to watch them, it'll mess up the whole "no contact" thing our teacher wants. If they say "no, go away, you're creepy," I'll have to start the process all over again with other people. And then the risks are exactly the same.
I have no intentions of becoming a scientist. But if by some miracle it does happen, I dearly hope my job won't involve "discreetly and objectively observing a certain population of people." For one thing, it's creepy. For another, it's rude.
Anyways. Tonight, it'll happen. Whether I want it to or not. Because I am not getting a zero. Do you know how hard those are to make up?
Me neither. But I certainly don't want to find out.

SNOW!
AAAHHHH, IT SNOWED LAST NIIIIIGHT!!!!
I'm sooooo happy! I just looked out the window, and although the world may not be completely blanketed in snow, it's about as close as one can expect here in the south. WHEEEEE!!!
Soooo, because no one here knows how to deal with even the threat of snow, SCHOOL IS CANCELED!!!!
...Sorry for all the caps, but I'M JUST SO EXCITED!!! It's soooo pretttyyyyy!
I kind of wonder how much work we're going to have to do to make up for not having classes, but right now I think I can handle just about anything. As long as I make sure to study French. I've been bad about that so far this semester, doing all the actual assigned stuff but not trying to really memorize all the vocab yet... Shame on me; I need to get started. Today.
And will. Now that I've broadcast that little shameful fact in my blog, I'll work to correct it. You're just awesome that way, darling readers.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I HAVE SOME SNOW TO GO OUT AND BE AMONGST!!! 8DDD

Beginner Mistakes in Role Play
Okay, so yesterday I told you how I started role playing. Today, I guess I'll tell you a little more into my experiences.
I don't know what it was that made me do this, but for the first few role plays/characters that I did, I can't even remember how many times my characters thwacked their heads against something and passed out. Why did I do this? I don't even know. But I can imagine it would have been kind of frustrating to the other guild members.
Another stupid thing I did was try to incorporate something modern into a medieval role play. I was in the middle of reading a horse-racing series, so I created a horse breeder/trainer/jockey character and plunked her down in the middle of a medieval fantasy role play. -_-'
...You know what, I'm not even going to tell you my first attempt at role playing males. That was way too terrible to even mention.
Anyways, I'd like to think that I learned from my mistakes. Only once in the last several years have I made one of my characters lose consciousness, and it was for a totally legit reason. And nowadays, I make sure the character's pastimes fit into the genre.
I'd also like to think I've gotten better at getting into the minds of male characters. I'm still not so great at creating them myself, although that little nine-year-old boy was fun and cute and whatnot. But I do enjoy messing around with ready-made fictional characters that I've gotten to know well. I've role played them, and I've written some short stories from their perspective, and I think my readers enjoyed them.
Of course, there's always room for improvement. But I hope you enjoyed listening to me rant about my beginner mistakes and how I've hopefully overcome them. =)

Role Playing Beginnings
How many of you role play?
I learned how to role play via Neopets - a kids' site I used to love. I joined a guild/club that was centered on role playing (I forget what genre, but maybe it was fantasy), but I wasn't allowed to role play on its forums until I got the approval of my master.
See, the guild's hierarchy thing was set up so that newly-joined members had to prove a certain amount of skill in role playing before they could actually join in. If they couldn't display that skill, at least to the satisfaction of the council (or maybe it was specifically the owner...), they were assigned a master to teach them.
So, via neomail (private messaging), I practiced role playing with my master. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I can honestly say that she was hugely responsible for my capability in writing in general today.
Anyways, after a while of private role playing with her, she deemed me advanced enough to begin role playing in our guild. She recommended me to the higher-ups, and I got promoted, and I entered a part of a bigger role play. ♥
Honestly, I don't remember anything about the role playing section of that guild. I was only guessing earlier when I mentioned the fantasy. Therefore, I don't remember if it was at that guild or another one that I was still making amateur mistakes.
Maybe I'll tell you about a few of them later. For now, I'd better get to work prepping for my French "pop" quiz today.

Material Shopping
I went to a craft store with Mommy yesterday because I'm planning on attempting to make a skirt with some friends soonish.
Shopping, especially clothes shopping, has never been something I'm interested in. Shocking, I know. But anyways, because of that, Mommy has basically just taken to doing my shopping for me. So because of that, I kind of expected to go in with her, let her choose some kind of material, preferably denim, buy it, and be done.
Problem #1: Denim wasn't on sale. Problem #2: There were too many shades and materials of purple to choose from. Problem #3: Mommy pointed out some black material. Problem #4: Even worse, she then pointed out brown! Problem #5: When I finally decided on purple again, neither of us knew which purple to get.
Problem #6: By the time we finally chose the material, we then had to find some thread. Problem #7: I was just going to choose some random contrasting color to save on the whole "matching" thing, but Mommy says thread isn't supposed to be seen.
Easy part #1: Finding elastic. Easy part #2: Getting the lady behind the counter to cut a couple yards of the chosen fabric. Easy part #3: Paying.
Bonus #1: Turned out, we also got a discount because I'm a student.
So, yeah. There's my problematic trip from yesterday. Poor Mommy, having to deal with me simultaneous to the materials...

Jack x Elsa?
So, I just recently found out people are pairing up Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians and Elsa from Frozen.
When I first heard about this crossover couple, I was excited. A love interest for Elsa, yay! And someone who has similar powers! And he doesn't have an official love interest either (except potentially the Tooth Fairy)! Awesome and perfect, right??
...Hmm, I don't know.
Yes, the two do both have ice/frost/snow capabilities. Both of them have extremely light-colored hair. But they seem so different in every way that matters.
Elsa's so grown-up, so mature, so introverted. Jack is more playful and definitely mischievous, and he never stops playing with kids even back before he was a Guardian.
One might argue they could be good for each other in that capacity: Elsa smooth down Jack's trouble-making while Jack teaches Elsa how to have fun. But I don't know.
Maybe this is something I'll warm up to. Maybe the Internet will introduce me to a better match-up later. Maybe Disney and Dreamworks will make an official love interest for each for each of them in a sequel. I kind of doubt it with the Dreamworks part, somehow, but it'd be nice to be proven wrong.
Anyways, that's my little thought process this morning. I thought I should share just because I mentioned in an earlier post that I was upset about Elsa not getting a love interest. See you tomorrow! =)
